Royal Seal of Approval - HCHH winner of the Queens Award for Voluntary Service 2008!

The Hull Churches Home From Hospital Service are delighted to announce that they are winners of the Queens Award for Voluntary Service 2008 after being kindly nominated by Tom Grealy at Hull CVS.  The Award, announced by The Queen in 2002 to mark the occasion of her Golden Jubilee, recognises excellence in voluntary activities carried out by groups in the community.  On 8th July 2008 four members of the HCHH team including Jean, the vision behind HCHFHS, the founding treasurer and a founding volunteer attended a Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace in celebration of winning this important accolade.  We are also awaiting an invitation by The Lord Lieutenant of the East Riding of Yorkshire to arrange a presentation which will include a certificate signed by The Queen and a piece of commemorative crystal inscribed with the official title of the Award - The Queens Golden Jubilee Award for Voluntary Service by groups in the community.
